Annual Letter to Allocators (And Interested Observers)

January 2026

To our friends, partners, and the folks keeping an eye on us,

Last year was a remarkably noisy one for the global markets. People spent an awful lot of time on television yelling about interest rates, macroeconomic cycles, and political outcomes. Our computers, thankfully, do not watch television. They just kept doing what they do best: ignoring the shouting, sticking strictly to our mathematical models, and quietly letting our systems do their work.

The Machinery
We made a few modest upgrades to our systems this year. When you rely entirely on mathematics and code to allocate capital, you can never let the engine get rusty. We spent the year refining our models, testing our core assumptions, and ensuring our technological infrastructure is as resilient as possible. It is deeply unglamorous work. We spend far more time looking at raw data than we do looking at stock charts, but around here, we have always preferred good engineering over good marketing. The framework held up beautifully during the volatility spikes in the third quarter, and our automated risk brakes functioned exactly as designed.

A Note on Capacity
We have received quite a few letters and phone calls over the past twelve months from family offices and institutional allocators asking to partner with us. We are flattered, truly.

However, as we enter 2026, Rockwell Palisade continues to trade exclusively with its own proprietary capital. We remain entirely closed to outside investors. We prefer the quiet life, and right now, the math tells us that the machinery is running perfectly at its current size. Bringing in outside money changes the math, and we aren't eager to disrupt a good thing just for the sake of collecting management fees.

If the day ever comes when we feel we have the right structural capacity for outside partners—partners who understand our approach and share our long-term, unemotional view of the markets—we will let you know. Until then, we are keeping our heads down, and we are not taking meetings to discuss new allocations. We wish you all a very prosperous and rational year ahead.

Best regards,

The Partners
